Hello, my name is Christie Andres. This is my second year working at St. John Paul II Catholic School. I am a proud graduate of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Elementary and Providence High School. I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences at Indiana University, Bloomington (GO HOOSIERS!) and then completed my Master’s degree at Tennessee State University. I have been working as a pediatric speech therapist for 6 years. My previous job settings include Greater Clark County Schools and Southern Indiana Rehabilitation Hospital. I currently service children at both JPII and Silver Creek Middle School.
I love working with children and find my job to be very rewarding. My goal is to teach strategies that the students can use in the classroom and out in the community to become better thinkers, learners, and communicators. I feel fortunate to be back at JPII as part of a very dedicated and hard-working team. The teachers and staff go above and beyond for their students every day. It is truly inspiring to witness. I have been happily married to my husband Jordan for almost 4 years and we have one child. His name is Liam and he will be turning two in September. We enjoy spending time with our friends and family, being outdoors, and going to IU Basketball and Football games. I look forward to working with your kiddos this school year!
